For the last two days I have solely been focused on moving my antique mall booth at the Sleepy Poet in Charlotte to their new location 2 miles down the road. Yesterday I believe I made 5 van trips back and forth in the rain. Today I have a van load full of new inventory to take so I can have everything ready when they open to the public on Nov 1.
Having an antique mall booth as one of my ways to move Scouting memorabilia has been part of my game for years. I get so much stuff like uniforms, books, jackets and 3D items that work well in that format. I have used the mall booth as a clearance rack where I can price and forget lots of stuff that I don’t want to fool with selling on eBay. If you follow me on Facebook I’ll post pictures today when I’m finished.
I have 198 live auctions on eBay with OA being the highlight. Lucky for me I schedule my auctions out sometimes two weeks in advance so when I run into a project like moving the antique mall booth it doesn’t blow up my selling strategy.
This weekend I’m going to the Santee Lodge Fall Fellowship at Camp Coker in South Carolina. I am doing a lodge memorabilia talk Saturday night which will be fun. Nathan Kohler and I have been working on the 4th edition of the lodge memorabilia book and we are 95% done. The 3rd edition is a free PDF over on CarolinaOA.com. Have a great weekend!
