Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter December 8, 2023
This afternoon I’m headed up to Winston-Salem NC for the Old Hickory TOR. This is a really long running show that is probably the poster child of what a local show ought to be. The event helps raise money for the council historical society and it is deeply focused on stuff from that area. They usually get a good draw of people coming down the Interstate from VA and I know of a few coming from SC.
Yesterday I welcomed a new part time employee to the team at the warehouse and I have another person coming today. If all goes well going into 2024 I will have all the positions filled and I can cut down my turnaround time for getting stuff processed and listed.
This week on eBay I have 132 live auctions running on SAPs, camp patches and more. I have 26 auctions running on Santeeswapper Store with some military and early state strips featured. On OApatch I have 70 live auctions on OA odd shapes and event items.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
