This morning I got an email from Doug Schwab that I’ll share here. If you have not yet decided on a specific job to do at the NJ next summer, why not join the Scouting Heritage area at the BSA Museum Exhibit? At this Jamboree we are planning an exciting display of the history of National BSA Service Projects. This year’s display will have a very exciting aspect where the Scouts will perform a service project at the Jamboree and turn it into another National BSA Service project by taking it to their home community. I encourage everyone to find a way to participate in the upcoming Jamboree. You really have no excuses and many opportunities. Adults can attend with a contingent (no more 4 adult cap), on staff or even as an onsite camping visitor. When I debuted my new show Tico Perez was my guest and outlined many of these options. I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
