I was blown away to find an email in my inbox this week from a dealer in Florida who had turned up an Air Scout Ace medal. As many of you know this is the crown jewel of a Senior Scouting collection. Less than 1,000 of these were ever earned in the late 1940s and early 1950s. I am brokering the sale of this medal for him so if you are interested his number is $3500. We already have one interested buyer on the line but if that falls through then certainly it’s next man up. I don’t mind telling you that I paid $4k for the one in my collection (in better condition) and these have sold for as much as $6000 in feedback I got on Facebook yesterday.
I have really gotten back to posting auction links and commentary on Facebook this week. I hope I can keep it up because it is something I’ve done on and off over the years. If you want to follow my picks (typically 3/day) you can “like” my Facebook page and turn on notifications so you’ll know when I post.
Does anybody know what this is? Somebody sent me a picture of it this week and asked if I would be willing to purchase it for $200. But it’s nearly 7 feet tall making it a monster to come and move. Chris Jensen has one kinda similar but not exactly that he was shopping around. This kinda cool stuff would look great in a Boy Scout man cave. I know a few of you have those and so if you are interested it’s available and I can pass the ladies name on to you. It’s just too big for me and I don’t have any spare room for cool stuff when I need space for shelves.
My eBay store Patchblanket.com is sitting at 12,700+ items. That’s going to change today as I’ve got about 900 OA flaps that I’m going to push onto the auction site.
