Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter December 6, 2022

 

Every time I make plans to attend a TOR there is usually a week worth of prep that goes into getting new stuff organized, priced and laid out to display. For me this week includes about 9 boxes of North Carolina OA which I have sorted but not finished pricing. With my trip to the Old Hickory TOR coming up this is prime stock to take.

Well as some of you who follow the Hot Finds know I have a thing for old VW vans. Yesterday I went and test-drove a dreamy one. About a mile from my house there is a 1991 Vanagon Westfalia for sale. It’s pretty much the nicest one I’ve ever had a chance to get. But in talking about it with my wife I just can’t quite convince here that this is still my dream (or maybe I can’t convince myself!?). It felt a little like the scene in the Lord of the Rings movie when Frodo offers the Ring of Power to Galadriel and she refuses it.

 

I have 271 live auctions on eBay this week including a wide mix from many niches in the hobby. In addition every day this month I am posting 50 new fixed priced listings in my eBay. That has got me knocking on the door of getting over 68k items in the store. My goal is to just keep building it as having all that inventory gives folks a reason to shop the Patchblanket eBay Store.
