Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter June 26, 2020

This week I got to work on doing a total inventory of my stores. It’s not gong to be a quick project with something like 30k items across multiple stores. However, I am already very satisfied with the new boxes. Going through everything gives me a chance to find mistakes and correct them before the item sells. The added bonus is I now have a fresh box of orphans that I thought were listed but are not.

Tomorrow I have a couple of collectors coming to visit all the way from Missouri. We made a connection on Facebook regarding the remains of a collection I pulled out of Missouri a couple years ago. I have boxes and boxes of paperwork, camp and activity patches that I would love to send back home. We are meeting bright and early at 8 AM and I’m spending most of the day going through every box on the shelf to make sure I don’t miss anything.

In doing this sorting project I’ve also started sorting the other boxes on the shelf including Girl Scout stuff, books and other BSA paper. So far I have not stumbled across any boxes containing anything that I forgot about but after I publish the newsletter I will keep digging.

On Santeeswapper I have auctions ending on a GA OA collection and parts of a PA collection I’ve been selling. On patchsniper I have 177 auctions on SAPs and stuff from the Pacific Northwest. OApatch has 174 auctions running on OA flaps and 2-piece sets. Then finally I’ve got 125 auctions on CSPs up on Scoutpatchhq.

I’ve got a couple of collections to crack open and if I can come to a stopping point today perhaps I’ll film an unboxing video. I’m really interested in one in particular not because it’s amazing but it’s a little more local to me.
