In a few hours I’m going to drop off some items at my antique mall booth and get on Interstate 85 headed to Chris Jensen’s Trade-O-Ree in Easley, SC. He has been running this South Carolina TOR for decades now and it does draw a diverse group of collectors from many states. It’s a great chance for me to see many of my old Scout friends and to sell a few things too!
The last two months in the new location for my antique mall have been tremendous. I’m sure it’s because of the holidays and the buzz about them moving to a better location. But I’ll take it and double down on stocking the shelves with all kinds of goodies! If you are ever in Charlotte check out the Sleepy Poet Antique Mall.
On eBay this week I have 293 live auctions with a heavy focus on Order of the Arrow. This week in the office we have been sorting camp patches. It’s no joke to say that my team has touched over 4k camp patches this week. We sorted through the letter “D” and have five long boxes ready to be scanned.
Saturday night I’m attending the Santee Lodge banquet. It’s being held in a barn out in rural Darlington County so it will be a neat location. Sadly some Scouting events (Atlanta TOR) are being cancelled out of caution for the rising holiday COVID numbers. But hopefully the two events I’m attending this weekend will be be alright. I know my wife is going to shoot me if I bring COVID into our house. So far none of us have caught the bug but then again we all got the jab.
