When I decided to cancel my trip to Indy last weekend due to the snow and ice I also missed out on stopping along the way to look at a collection. With milder weather rolling in I have rescheduled that trip for tomorrow. I don’t know if this collection is worth burning the two days it will take to make the round trip but it’s a loose end I want to cross off.
Yesterday I posted a bunch of stuff to eBay that some of you will laugh at. Things like world crests, mile swim patches and even Paul Bunyan patches. I didn’t list them as singles but rather as lots figuring that somebody could get them cheaper from me in lots than going to the Scout shop and paying full price. This is all part of my strategy to get everything listed and not have death piles in the warehouse.
I have brought back my 35% off sale for Santee Lodge 116 and Dixie Fellowship items in my eBay store. The first round got a lot of action but I only ran it for a weekend. So this time I’m letting it go for a whole week. I am sure some of you are sitting on stockpiles from your home lodge like me. I’m trying to re-home some of those this year.
On eBay I have 299 live auctions this week. You can find a little bit of everything but as usual I list a lot of Order of the Arrow on 7-day runs. Yesterday I posted a brand new unboxing video. This one is from a 1960s Eagle Scout from New York.
I am hoping that one of my old lodge brothers can work it out to go on the road trip with me tomorrow. I mentioned it to him yesterday and we are going to talk more about it this morning. It’s always great to have someone that you’ve known for decades to talk with and pass the time. I should have some adventures to report on Friday.
