Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter March 31, 2023

On my last day at Philmont, I got to spend a few hours at the National Scout Museum getting a behind-the-scenes tour with Russell Smart. Harold and Chris who work at the museum were also very gracious with their time. All of us will be very proud of the exhibits when they are completely renovated by early June. These guys have put a lot of thought and effort into how to share the BSA’s history with over 20,000 visitors they get in a typical year.

I am not sure it would be bragging to share with you all the cool items I got to see up close at the museum. James West’s professional uniform, B-P’s iconic wide-brimmed hat, and a mastodon tooth discovered at the base of the tooth of time that was thousands of years old. It was quite a morning of wide-eyed moments for me.

On eBay, I have 228 live auctions running on neckerchiefs, camp patches, and more.
