Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter May 9, 2023

My daughter helped photograph all of my Eagle Scout medal dupes in the last month and now it’s time to list them. In all the years of selling BSA memorabilia, I have never really sold Eagle medals. Part of me was reluctant because maybe I wanted to keep them and part of me didn’t want to learn the variations. But Ron Oslin and Larry Lane helped me ID everything back at the VA Beach TOR so I’m ready.

Ron and Larry also pulled a 1 of each collection for me so that I have a type collection minus the first ones that are big money. I am not diving into every variation but I have all the Robs, Stanges and CFJ. Now I just need to put them in a frame with some good labels!

The other part of listing insignia is I’m getting all of my sorted position and rank patches that are pre-1970s photographed today. This is another box that I’d like to get listed before I leave for camp.

Over on Santeeswapper I have 213 live auctions running this week. I continue to feature camp patches, pins and JSPs among the mix. On my OApatch account I have built the store out to have over 5k items and am running 70 live auctions this week.
