Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter July 19, 2024

Yesterday I literally climbed a ladder in the warehouse and got down some tubs that I have not looked in for almost 2 years. Since coming home from TN in 2022 these tubs of “trade stock” had been sitting idle out of reach and mind. To my surprise there was some good stuff in there that I probably should have listed on eBay. Doh!

So today my entire focus is culling what to fit into my patch trading bag for NOAC. In some ways it’s easy because in buying collections you sometimes stumble upon a hoard of flaps all from the same lodge. So when you have 50 of the same patch that’s an ideal one to set on the blanket knowing you can reload it over and over when it trades. But for a patch collector like me this is a really fun process to figure out what to take. I love the good old 1 for 1 trading where my goal is to shake as many hands as possible and say YES. Anything on my blanket is for trade and I don’t have to be a hard ass with anyone that walks up and starts to talk to me.

On eBay I have 74 live auctions heading into the weekend. If I’m lucky today I’ll get some more items added to the calendar so while I’m gone over the next two weeks the wheels don’t come off the bus.
