Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter February 2, 2025

I got as far as Beckley, WV last night in my drive home from the Indy TOR. I dashed from the show quickly on Saturday afternoon and had a picking opportunity in Ohio that went every well. I’ll record a video sharing that story and what I got in my Patreon group – the Scouting Hot Finds Insiders this week.

The Indy TOR did not disappoint. It was interesting to see how many people get to town on Thursday night so they can be in the door early to start Friday off. I enjoyed having conversations with so many people and exchanging some cloth over the weekend. The live auction featured a patch blanket that sold for about $11,000 which was a show stopper.

The folks who run this show have figured things out. They must have run 15-20 rounds of silent auctions so there is no doubt who made the most money off the show. We also paid $12 for a pulled pork sandwich from the host troop for dinner so the locals did very well this weekend.

On eBay I have 239 live auctions running with 80 of those ending tonight. My Sunday night lineup is very diverse with items from all over and many different categories.
