Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter February 28, 2025

Sometimes I get Boy Scout collections mailed to me on preview. In this case the family knows for sure they want to get the items recycled back into Scouting and they trust me to give them a fair offer. In this video I have two boxes that came this which both needed to be opened and evaluated. These collections were from opposite sides of the country (Washington State & Georgia) but actually a few common items.

I also found a ziplcok that had about 30 items from his father. I really geeked out about this part of the collection as his dad was an Air Explorer in the early 1960s who earned the Silver Award. In the video I can see there is a 3rd bag that is from a different 1970s time period. I speculated on camera that this could be from an uncle. But after going back through our email communication I found where he said a neighbor had given him Scout stuff many years ago.

On eBay I have 222 live auctions with a bunch of those ending this weekend. This includes a run of SAPs from all over, some Jamboree contingent pieces and stuff from a Pellissippi 230 collection.
