In the video you will hear the long and winding story of how this box of Scouting memorabilia from the late 1950s found it’s way to me in Charlotte NC. But opening the box and sharing all the treasures with you is part of my mission to give these items an opportunity to spread the history of Scouting. This Scout attended the 1958 National Order of the Arrow Conference and like many of us found that patch trading with people around the country is a fun past time. He got patches from California, Texas and even North Carolina where I live. He also attended Philmont Scout Ranch back in the day as evidenced by his patch collection. But interestingly it looks like he went on a trek with his son in the early 1980s which I am sure was a wonderful family memory.
If you have a box of Scouting memorabilia that has been hanging around through multiple moves now hiding in the basement or the back of the closet please reach out. I’d love to talk to you on the phone or you can text/email me the information.
