I finally got around to putting some new stuff up on eBay this week and yesterday launched 600+ camp patches to my store at www.Patchblanket.com on eBay. It is interesting to watch just how quickly people can react to new stuff being listed – that’s something I don’t pay attention to but many of you do as I’ve found out over the last 24 hours.
Over the next month I will be putting some time and energy into my antique mall booths. I’m going to be paying a visit to my booth in Florence, SC on Sunday to drop off several boxes of patches that I’ve got ready. This batch will include a lot of local activity patches along with insignia and CSPs. My location in Florence is at the Palmetto Peddlers in case you are driving up I-95 and want to check it out.
I am almost certain there is a fake of the 2010 Scuba set out there but I couldn’t tell you exactly how to tell it from the real deal. I saw way too many of them pop up well after the Jamboree for that to be a fluke of luck.
This month I am also going to doubling the size of my booth at my antique booth in Lumberton at Somewhere In Time Antiques. I’ve worked a deal with the owner whereby in exchange for me helping him get on the map when it comes to Google and Facebook – he is giving me a discounted rate. I’ll be stocking the shelves with several dozen uniforms, t-shirts, and lots of 3-D items. I’ll share pictures when it’s all ready to go.
I got a message from Ken Kittelberger announcing the sale of a memorabilia history book for Black Eagle Lodge 482. It’s an all color book that Ken is selling and I’m happy to share the order form with you. I am all behind local lodge historians doing similar projects and I’m aware of several lodges that have their own memorabilia history books. If you ever have a new reference book for the hobby shoot me an email and I’d be glad to feature here in the Hot Finds.
