I sometimes get random emails from people asking me if I’m interested in stuff they come across. Yesterday I got one of those on something really old from an corner of the hobby that I don’t really collect. However, I really want to go after this piece because it’s just too cool. I don’t want to jinx the negotiations and mention it now but I’ll share for sure if I can land the piece.

I had a collector message me this weekend asking about making a big purchase on my ScoutPatchHQ.com store. I wrote him back and offered a 15% off discount code to help him with the $1000+ purchase. So this morning it occurred to me why not make the same offer to all my customers and readers.

If any collectors have good pictures of them organizing their collection with www.BestHobbyPages.com send me a picture. I want to work on some blog posts coming up and it would make sense to show actual collectors using this system rather than me staging some pictures. I’d be happy to give you credit. If you would just email me back pictures that I can use.

Next weekend my pack is attending our district cuboree. We have 130 people going including my son and daughter. I invited my wife to come as well but she is going to serve instead as the chauffeur. Sophia has a field hockey tournament that Saturday and Patrick has to sing in church Sunday so she will shuttle kids back and forth and sleep in her own bed.

With no hurricanes or school holidays I think next week might actually be a good solid week for me. My daughter only went to school 1 day last week thanks to fall break and Hurricane Michael. So I’m itching to get some projects done and new items listed.
