I’ve just published information on the website with details on next year’s Charlotte TOR. We are staying on the goldilocks weekend that is just after many lodge spring events but not too close to Easter or late April conclaves to create a conflict. I hope you can make plans to attend. This is our 3rd year and the show has become one of the tops in the southeast.
When it comes to the Charlotte TOR promotion I don’t leave any stones unturned. With every order I ship that is headed to an address in the southeast I include information. I beat the pavement going to BSA round tables in the home council. I also have developed a unique email mailing list of active collectors in the southeast and send them regular updates.
This event is a fundraiser for the Cub Scout Pack at our church. We have also invited the local council and OA lodge to have complimentary tables to sell items so they can raise money. This year I’m exploring a way that our new Scouts BSA female troop at the church can get a slice of the pie. So as the TOR Coordinator I’m doing the leg work but these groups are also enjoying the benefits of a successful event.
This year we will be again be running a silent auction. This is also known as warehouse cleaning! The game plan is I’ll go through my warehouse making tubs full of items that need to find a new home and pricing most of them with a $1 minimum bid. You won’t want to miss the fun chance to get some great stuff super cheap in fun auction format.
If you have a minute go check out www.CharlotteTOR.com where I’ve posted all the details. I still need to firm up a few things such as the merit badge offerings and guests but the important details are live.
