Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter February 18, 2022
The launch of over 200 first flaps on www.SmartScoutPatches.com earlier this week was a rush. You can still see (for now) the sold items to see what has already moved. The website now has over 500 great OA pieces from his first flaps and odd shapes collection available.
In a few minutes I’m leaving for a camping trip down to Edisto Beach State Park below Charleston, SC. This is an annual VW bus camping trip and it’s the first time I’m going. My friend Collin has a beautiful Westy so bringing my modern mini van won’t make me a complete imposter. We have some fun menu items planned like hobo meals and Dutch Oven lasagna.
I have 273 auctions live on eBay right now with some of those ending every night of the week. Yesterday live on Facebook I unboxed a VA collection from a guy that attended the 1989 and 1993 Jamborees. There wasn’t any killer stuff but it was fun to go through it. His edition of Woods Wisdom (SM Resource) was hand delivered to the new SM of our girl troop and she was very appreciative.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
