Helping Scouting Youth Discover Patch Collecting
I sat down with Wayne Schuver Jr. at the Summit Trade-O-Ree after an interesting discussion about getting youth interested in our hobby. Wayne and I share the belief that as collectors who have been at this a while we need to help plant seeds in the hobby. We get a little distracted talking about TORs (he goes to A LOT of them) but I hope you will add comments about the many ways that you have seen seeds planted in our hobby to grow the next generation of collectors.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
