I spoke with Brian Kent Friday night and he agreed to bring his Scouting history display to this April’s Charlotte Trade-O-Ree. Brian has put together a really cool display of where the military has been involved in Scouting. Whether it be BSA events held at military bases or units registered there. Having gotten my Eagle in an Air Force Base troop I am a big fan.
At the Charlotte TOR we have Saturday classes for Scouting Heritage and Collections MBs so these displays will help. I have worked out a deal with the MB instructor Stuart Tucker to supply each Scout with a patch binder ready to go with blank album pages. There is still room at the show for another display so if you have one to set up please reach out!
In preparation for the TOR next week I’m going to start a big project to open all the small dollar collections I’ve picked up over the last several months. My goal is to have a rough sort done by the end of the week so we can pull items for the silent auction and fill our bins.
On eBay this week I have 166 live auctions with some ending every night of the week. I am also running a sale in my eBay store on items from my home area including Dixie Fellowship and Santee Lodge 116.
