Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter February 25, 2022
I am on the road to the VA Beach TOR. I have one stop over at a coffee shop in North Carolina to buy a small but nice vintage collection from an old timer. My strategy for this TOR is a little different as I am emphasizing really higher value items under frames versus the tub strategy trying to move bulk. I’ve got some good VA pieces so that ought to get some attention.
I am also bringing my best dupes on Senior Scouting items including old Explorers and Air Scouts. If I had one more day I could have processed all of my dupes in the niche but nonetheless I’ve got some home run pieces that I’m bringing along.
On eBay I have 228 live auctions with a bunch of neckerchiefs being the focus of my Sunday rush. I have a Sioux Lodge jacket patch that has some buys in a tizzy. One of them wrote me a message on eBay saying how did you get this? LOL
I am bringing all of the Best Hobby Page plastic with me this weekend so if you are coming to the show look me up. Even with my focus on quality I couldn’t help but bring the dollar tubs as people tend to love looking through mine.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
