Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter March 17, 2023
Early next week I’m hopping on a plane with my wife to fly out to Albuquerque for a short vacation prior to National Camp School at Philmont. On the advice of several of you (thanks!) we are spending a few days in Santa Fe. The weather is going to be crap but it is march in a high elevation so that’s probably to be expected.
While at Philmont I’m definitely going to take in the National Scout Museum as I have never been before. I know they are working on some new exhibits and I look forward to making that part of my trip.
Today I’m going to be working on my auction calendar as I’ll be gone for a total of 10 days coming up and I need the eBay machine to keep on humming. This week I’ve got 234 live auctions running on WSJ, OA, SAPs and more. Over on OApatch I’ve been listing heavy and have over 1,900 items stocked now with a small number of daily auctions there too.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
