Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter March 14, 2023

I got to the office Monday to discover I had indeed won an Oscar. At least in the eyes of my very sweet employee Claudia who went all out decorating the office Sunday night to surprise me. While the Fabelmans didn’t bring home the trophy Sunday night this one will sit on my desk and put a smile on my face many times over.

As I have been dabbling with eBay accounts and stores I have 31 auctions from a New Jersey collection closing on the newest of those besthobbypages. This was a 2009 account that Joe started when he founded the company. It came with the sale to me but I have sat on it for all this time. I’m still playing with this strategy and just testing the waters.

Another account I’m playing with is the 5 Dollar Patch Store which has 124 items listed currently. I’ve got some more inventory for this in the pipeline I just need to get it through the conveyor belt in the back of the warehouse to go live.

On my main account I have 209 live auctions running this week on OA, WSJ, SAPs and camps. If I can keep this account fully scheduled out with an average of 200-250 new listings per week then I think I have extra capacity to feed some other stores. If I have a niche strategy within the big Boy Scout category MAYBE it makes sense.
