I posted a great question in the Facebook group last night. How do you get youth walk through at a Trade-O-Ree. This was in response to me sharing that last night I visited a Pack meeting and then zoomed over to a 40+ Scout troop meeting to personally promote the upcoming Charotte TOR.
One of the really good tips i got from the post was to make a space for Scouts to sit down. Whether it be to trade, eat some food, or just get off their feet for a minute. We have some round tables that will be perfect for this. I’ve also tried in the past (and will again) to give out free patches and notebook album pages.
If you have any good suggestions please send them over and I’ll share them on FB too. I think we all lament how many TORs are filled with gray haired men. No offense as I now am on that team. But seeing some excited Cub Scouts kinda changes the mood of a show.
On eBay I have 189 live auctions running on mostly Order of the Arrow flaps and issues. Yesterday, I took the first steps towards moving into neckerchiefs that we have been working on. I got about 85 better pieces scheduled and will be adding more. I’ve told myself not to focus on the TOR this week so I’m still trying to grind on eBay.
