Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 16, 2024

Coming up May 3-4 everyone is invited to come to Charlotte for our TOR held at my church. Two of our Scout units host the event and I’m the coordinator. So far we have table renters from 7 states and only have about a dozen tables remaining. If you want to save your spot grab one ASAP before we are sold out.

One of the things we are continuing this year is inviting vendors to bring historical displays. So far I have three people (myself included) that are going to display some of their collection for all to see. There is no “competition” but we have Cubs and Scouts that attend, and I love that they get to see the history.

I am making the rounds at local troop meetings and relying on my contacts in the council to get the word out at Round Table etc. I’ve been mailing TOR fliers to eBay customers in a multi-state region for months. But the really interesting opportunity here is that the two conclaves in the Carolinas happen on back-to-back weekends prior to the show. So with roughly 1,600 arrowmen at those events I’ll do my best to make sure they all know about it!

A little glitch in my listing software means tomorrow night is going to be a banger on eBay for me. I accidently scheduled a bunch of auctions to run as 10-day listings. That means instead of ending on the normal Sunday it’s going to be Wednesday this week. Doh! So check out the 177 auctions I have live on the site.
