Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter May 11, 2025

I got an idea yesterday while shoveling wood chips and gardening. It came from a podcast I was listening to in order to pass the time. While in Las Vegas this March for the reseller conference I met a guy named Mike. His whole YT channel and podcast are around supporting local eBay meet ups across the country. He attends them and interviews the hosts. In our hobby these would be called Trade-O-Rees.

 

So in this particular episode he was interviewing a guy involved with the Cincinnati, OH resellers meet up. It was mostly about the guys back story and interests along with a focus on the meetup details. It sounded a lot like the type of interviews I used to do for my podcast – Scouting Hot Finds Radio.

 

For a while I was doing these short 5 minute interviews with TOR hosts to help promote their events. This is something I have not done in more than 5 years. I didn’t get any feedback on the videos at the time so the last one I published was in 2019. So what do you think? Is this something the hobby could really use now?

 

On eBay I have 220 live auctions with a a bunch of those set to send tonight. My big push is a lot of items from the New Jersey collection that some of you watched the unboxing for recently.
