The most satisfying project to complete before leaving for camp was getting my mug collection into a permanent display at my warehouse. I have not had these mugs out in over twenty years. The top row is a Dixie Fellowship mug collection while the bottom is my Pee Dee Area and Camp Coker collections. I told myself when going into this if it doesn’t fit on this wall it’s going up for sale. I had a few camp staff glass steins that I will have to make an exception for.
The other final week project was getting my collection room reorganized and cleaned up. One of these days I’m going to figure out how to find time to get my collections all super organized rather than just sorted into tubs. I’m sure like many of you I lack a checklist of what I have and don’t have it organized just the way I would like it. So there are always more project for the fall.
On eBay I have 299 live auctions running with mostly modern OA. Although I don’t collect it myself these Centennial issues do well and sometimes you run across one that is a rare delegate piece that takes off.
With family vacation included I am only home for a week between now and NOAC. This is my 5th year serving as the camp director and overall our staff might be the best we have assembled. I’ll try my best to continue to publish the newsletter but as many of my most loyal readers know things can get crazy during these camp weeks and you will have to forgive me if I miss an issue or two.
