I am sending the “Sunday” issue out late. Today is the beginning of Week 2 at camp and I was running from 7 AM until long after last night’s campfire. We have a big crowd in camp and check-in and campfire went great. I apologize that some of these auctions have already ended but I wanted to try and get the issue out since it was almost ready.
This week Matt Delk and I are going to have a new audience for our Scouting memorabilia pop-up museum. It’s hard to compete against all the fun twilight activities on the schedule but I have an idea for a teaser event that might stir up some interest.
The other things on my to-do list is respond to the helpful readers that offered to sell me uniform pieces for the movie I was contacted about. I printed out the list and will reach out as soon as things calm down today. So far they have received almost 175 pounds of memorabilia from myself, Matt Delk and Chris Jensen.
After a dip last week I’m back up to 170 live auctions on eBay. These include a heavy dose of OA but also some council event patches that are worth a look.
It seems crazy to me that Wednesday will be the half way point in the summer. I think time slows down at camp. If you have ever worked on a camp staff you probably know what I mean! But it’s all fun and we are ready to kick start program and merit badge instruction today.
