Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter July 14, 2020

The joys of having a small business. Yesterday I had a conversation with a neighboring business about sharing a dumpster rental. I’m still working on a few more pieces of the puzzle for my warehouse. Next on the list is getting a new sign to put up over the doors with my logo.

Some of these very same great OA pieces are hanging on the wall in my display frames. Today my mom is visiting for the first time since I moved in back in March. I gave her the tour this morning and now she is helping me inventory the store.

eBay store owners have about 2-weeks left to move things around and make changes. We all got 50k free listings some months ago but it’s about to strike midnight for Cinderella. I’m using this time to move some items around and try to come into August better aligned. The goal is not to pay eBay so much in extra fees at the end of the month.

I am continuing to auction items from recent collection purchases including some 1960s era historical trail medals on ScoutPatchHQ. On Patchsniper you can find 170 auctions as I transition from SAPs to an old OA flap collection. Finally on OApatch I have 100 auctions on OA conclaves, flaps and issues.

I will be going back out to the antique mall this week. The plan is to take my dad’s old Lionel trains and make room in the display case to put them out for sale. Right now the case is full of Girl Scout dolls but I can move them to the shelf. I will try and include some pictures in the next issue.
