Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter July 22, 2022

I got an update from Chris Jensen that he asked me to share out. If you are traveling to the TOR please use this address – 415 Lakeside St. Knoxville, TN 37914. There is a road closure that this will help you avoid any delays near the convention center. The TOR opens Saturday morning and I hope to see many of you there.

I do not collect 2022 NOAC issues but I will nonetheless be trading for them like many getting caught up in the fun of some old fashioned 1:1 trading. Many of us have the origin story that traces back to trading at a big national event. For me it was the 1989 Jamboree where I was after any flap with a wolf on it. Why? I have no idea! But I was hooked.

On eBay I have 243 live auctions including a bunch more event patches and some nice neckerchiefs ending over the weekend. I was doing some unboxings Wednesday night (shared on Facebook) as I was just trying to see if there was anything else I could pull together for the TOR. I think I’ve run out of time though because Thursday I never stepped foot in my warehouse as I was doing family stuff the whole day.

I look forward to seeing many of you at the NOAC. I am TERRIBLE with putting names to faces so please accept my aploogy in advance if I’ve known you for twenty years and don’t call you by your first name when we meet. Part of a NOAC is just the fellowship and I look forward to doing that with many collectors over the next week.
