Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter July 19, 2022

Today I think I will be the only person in the warehouse. My main task is pulling good stuff for the Pre-NOAC trade-o-ree and making a run to the antique mall to check in and add some new material for the time in almost two months.

I have 24′ of real estate at the TOR to plan for. I have an 8′ table in my warehouse that I use to sort out stuff. So I’m going to use it to estimate my layout and piece together what makes the cut to get into the mini van Friday. The other push this week is pricing new inventory and seeing if I can get it prepped and ready.

Saturday and Sunday will be the big days at the trade-o-ree. Monday has always been a crap shoot as the Scouts are showing up and there is a lot going on. I have to check in with my contingent that morning. But hopefully some of the contingents will make their way over to the TOR because nothing energizes a show like a bunch of youth running around from table to table.

On eBay I have 240 live auctions on lots of 50-70 year old event patches along with a bunch of neckerchiefs. This has been the month where I have laid off the OA as much and focused on other interesting categories.

This week is the last chance to order Best Hobby Pages if you want them delivered at the TOR. It saves me so much time counting plastic at the event that I’m encouraging people to make their purchases prior and let me bring it boxed up to hand to you. When you use coupon code PickUp it gives you free delivery. But of course I’ll have all the products on hand too!
