Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter November 10, 2023

 

I am in a bit of a conundrum and need to make a decision soon on the date for the 2024 Charlotte TOR. For a while I’ve been eyeing the weekend of March 22-23. This meets a lot of my parameters as it’s relatively clear for my local OA lodges that support the show. It’s also in the sweet spot that it’s after church league basketball and before Easter.

 

 

However, my sticking point is that my fellow brother in the cloth Chris Jensen will be attending TORs in the Midwest that week and so that will make it very tough. Every year Chris has been generous enough to rent the use of tables that he or Matthew Delk would bring to the show. So I need to work with the local folks to secure cheap tables here in CLT that we can borrow/rent or punt to a weekend later on the calendar that works better. The only option I see there is May 3-4. That’s right after the E7 and E8 conclaves which might be really good for marketing (or too close?).

 

 

On eBay I have 202 live auctions running on many RWS and event patches. I also have a nice batch of OA neckerchiefs ending Sunday.
