Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter December 29, 2023
It’s a good sign going forward that to finish the year I’ve completed a major project. Through lots and lots of messaging on Facebook and utilizing information from Brian’s website I have created a simple 1-page flier that has all of the scheduled TORs for 2024. So far that list includes 41 shows from January – December.
I am taking this to the printer to get 1000 copies made which I will include in all of my orders on eBay. I’ve also updated the TOR calendar on my website with links to the fliers I have accessible. Hopefully every month or two I can update the flier and add new shows as the organizers release details. Brian does a great job with his site but I wanted to have something I could include as mailers so that’s what got me on this project.
On eBay I have 241 live auctions running on items such as Philmont, camps and event patches. One of my year ending projects is complete. I have retired one of the two eBay Stores that I built up in 2023. It’s been a great experiment and I’ve learned a ton about eBay in the process. Going into 2024 I’ll just have one monster store with everything in one place.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
