Today marks 24 days until summer camp so last night I tried something I have not done in my adult life. I started a daily journal to help me plan for what needs to get accomplished and reflect on where I am in the count down. That sparked some ideas for today’s warehouse projects including tagging uniforms, pricing books for the antique mall and clearing the back door access to make the Fire Marshall happy.
In the next day or two I am expecting a big 18 wheeler to pull up outside my warehouse with a delivery of 100 boxes worth of Best Hobby Pages product. It would be great if I could order just a mix of products to top off levels. But the manufacturer requires a 25k minimum order. So that translates to 100 boxes of the exact same page which is enough to last me several years. But I am committed to keeping everything in stock and continuing the 13+ year run that this product has had serving the hobby.
I got confirmation this morning that I’ve accepted on a lodge contingent for the upcoming NOAC. I am looking forward to going to TN first for the Pre-NOAC trade-o-ree and then for the full event as a participant.
On eBay I have 309 live auctions including hat pins, buckles, slides, shoulder patches and OA. My auction first strategy has worked as every week I see a few items take off into bidding wars that I never would have predicted. To be clear about 85% of my auctions don’t get bids and just roll over into the store. But they do bring eyes to my listings and constantly launching new items is good for the algorithm.
I joked earlier about the Fire Marshall but he did come out to inspect all the warehouses in my area yesterday. I have a few things to correct before I head out for camp. One of those is that I can’t have empty boxes literally stacked to the ceiling. Silly rules!
