I just got off the phone with Russell Smart and he has agreed to bring two impressive displays to show at the upcoming Charlotte Trade-O-Ree on Oct 14-15. The first is his complete Dixie Fellowship collection which he put together for when his lodge was set to host the 2020 event (cancelled due to COVID). The second is an award winning display featuring all the combinations of merit badges required for Eagle including the actual patches plus the Eagle badge and medal. Basically it tells the story of what every Eagle Scout candidate had to earn from 1910 to the present to achieve Scouting’s highest youth rank.

Ryan Losonsky and I are also bringing displays so this will be a great opportunity for youth, parents and collectors to see some neat collections. On eBay I have 228 live auctions with many focused on shoulder strips, OA and neckerchiefs. All this week I’ve been focused on clearing out one office in my warehouse to make it a listing room. With the wet weather in the Carolinas today I can’t make too much progress but hopefully I’ll get most of my Best Hobby Pages moved out to a climate controlled storage unit this weekend and start making use of that space next week.
