Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter September 27, 2024
I really can’t make this up! For two years on the bottom shelf of a room in my warehouse sat three boxes from a collection I purchased. I knew that there was some good stuff there and it deserved the effort to film and publish an unboxing video. But I honestly forgot the unicorn item in among the 55 pounds of memorabilia.
If you watch the video you will see that the hidden treasure is a century old Eagle Scout scrapbook. But it’s not just for one young kid who achieved this award. It’s a history of Orange County NY documenting the first 166 Scouts that earned the rank from 1924 into the 1930s. Ya gotta see the video!
This week on eBay I have 135 live auctions on OA and camp patches. So far during the month of September we have this the goal of listing at least 50 new items per day. Today I launched a sale on 18k+ OA flaps in my eBay Store. This sale will help me clear out some shelf space as we have a lot of new inventory ready to go online.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
