Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter March 16, 2025

Being gone a week does reset your priorities. I was able to go by the UPS Store where my mail comes Saturday and get some packages that had been waiting. One of these is a pretty dynamic collection that I feel lucky to have landed. The struggle is always do I spend my week tending to the brand new stuff in the door or the tubs already overflowing with stuff that’s long been paid for.

For a while I have been meaning to start up my semiannual sorting project. We take everything that comes in and sort it out by type so that al the Jamboree, OA, shoulder patches etc ends up with like items in a tub. Then from there we sort the tub alphabetically until we are ready to photograph and list. Getting it down to like items make the listing process go much faster.

I’ve got a bunch of stuff where I haven’t even taken it out of the box. Sometimes with small collections that I am not going to film an unboxing on it’s just easier that way. What’s holding me up on starting this project is I have some better quality stuff that is ready to cut the line and get looked after first. Sales have been down about 17% this quarter so I need to feed some better items into the store.

On eBay this week I have 240 live auctions running with about 75 of those ending tonight. This is the final day for a big 24% off sale that I’m running in my store on over 10k items.
