Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter January 16, 2015

This weekend I’ll be at Chris Jensen’s show in Easley, SC. As i was driving up I participated in the ISCA board meeting via a conference call. I was not able to stay on the line for the entire 2+ hour meeting but hopefully I’ll have some news to share soon on how the survey results are going to push the organization forward.

I’ve got some good blades in today’s issue of the Hot Finds. I know there is a hard core group of collectors that go for these and I have to admit I get it. They are authentic Scouting items featured in the catalog that can bring out a lot of nostalgia.

I posted an article on CarolinaOA.com yesterday that got quite a lot of buzz on the Facebook Group. Many of you have seen the red centennial sashes that were produced by two lodges in NC. They are coming out with an O-B-V version of this that will be a very hot collectible for sure.

I came up to the TOR a day early to visit with a friend so I’m bright and ready to go this morning. Brad England and I are trying to experiment this weekend with a live episode of Thread Heads from two different shows. We shall see if the technology gods will smile on us or not.

On the way home from the show I’m going to make a stop in Florence, SC to work on my antique mall booth one more time. I just about have everything finished and I have been taking pictures all through the process. I’ll be sharing those soon.
