Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter March 13, 2018
Speaking of collections would you believe I am combining my trip to National Camp School in GA with a digging venture? Since I’ll already by several hours west of Charlotte when camp school wraps up I’m going to go pick up an estate that has been on a slow simmer for almost a year. I still don’t know exactly what’s in the collection but it will be fun to find out.
This week I’m auctioning off items from a consignment. Even my Cubmaster has gotten in on the action. At our den meeting last night I hand delivered him a small package of SAPs that he had won on eBay. Of course you have to give your Cubmaster free shipping and delivery!
We are less than a month away from the Charlotte TOR. On my end it’s time to line up the volunteers from the Cub Scout pack that will help with concessions and at the door. I’ve got the silent auction covered. We still have tables available to rent so get your reservations in today.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
